On September 23, 2026, Philology students attended a meeting dedicated to modern international academic exchange opportunities. The speaker of the event was Hanna Dyvnych, Head of the International Office.
At the beginning of the meeting, the speaker explained in detail the concept of academic mobility as a key tool for integrating students into the global educational and scientific community. This process allows students to gain new educational experience, improve their language skills, and broaden their intercultural perspective while maintaining their student status at their home university.
The main focus was on grant and exchange programs designed specifically for students majoring in Philology. Students were introduced to various educational paths at partner institutions in the following countries:
- Austria, Germany, USA — semester abroad programs, research internships, and intensive language courses;
- Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Spain — short-term academic programs, international workshops, summer schools, and thematic meetings.
During the meeting, Ms. Dyvnych outlined a clear step-by-step application process and highlighted the main selection criteria for candidates:
- High academic performance (grade point average for past study periods);
- A well-prepared CV following European or international standards;
- Active participation in research activities (publications, participation in conferences, and departmental student research groups);
- A convincing motivation letter clearly stating the applicant’s professional goals and ambitions.
The event took place in an open dialogue format, giving students comprehensive answers regarding application deadlines, selection procedures, and practical details of studying abroad.
