From September 15 to September 22, students majoring in Philology (035) from Chernihiv Polytechnic National University participated in the project “Building Bridges, Not Walls: in the Face of Hate.” This international youth exchange involved 40 young people from Poland and Ukraine. The project aimed to explore the language of hostility, address the issue of discrimination, and study harmful behaviors in daily life, at school, university, in mass media, and online, as social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, forums, and groups have become fertile ground for hostile language. The training sessions conducted with project participants provided young people with effective tools to combat hatred and hostility in various spheres of life. Ukrainian and Polish youth learned to build connections, combining their knowledge and exchanging experiences, which contributed to the formation of well-coordinated international teams, breaking down barriers and dispelling misleading stereotypes. 19 students from Chernihiv Polytechnic National University participated in the project, coordinated by Associate Professor Pikun L. V. from the Department of Foreign Philology.
