As part of the career orientation event, the Department of Foreign Philology was pleased to welcome prospective applicants, talented students from the Chernihiv Regional Scientific Lyceum, and share with them the achievements and opportunities offered by the department for those pursuing a career in languages and literature.
This event was a great opportunity not only to get acquainted with the university but also to learn about the rich educational process awaiting our students. The professors of the Department of Foreign Philology prepared engaging materials for the participants, introduced them to the curriculum, and shared insights on the most relevant aspects of studying foreign languages at the higher education level.
Our guests discovered that the Department of Foreign Philology offers a wide range of courses that allow students to combine deep theoretical knowledge with practical skills. These include translation, literary studies, country studies, and many other fields that open up numerous opportunities for professional growth.
The event was aimed at helping the lyceum students choose their future profession. Our professors provided detailed information about the specifics of the specialization in Philology (B11), opportunities for internships, scientific research, and international cooperation. Students had the chance to ask questions, learn about the admission requirements, and understand the features of the educational process. One of the key aspects we focused on was the importance of intercultural communication and the role of foreign languages in the globalized world.
