Section 9 Meeting: Linguistic Studies: Literature, Language, Translation as part of the XV International Scientific and Practical Conference “Youth in Science–2025”

On April 23, 2025, within the framework of the annual International Scientific and Practical Conference for students, postgraduates, and young researchers “Youth in Science–2025,” the Department of Foreign Philology held the Section 9 meeting titled “Linguistic Studies: Literature, Language, Translation.”

The participants included first- to third-year students majoring in Philology (035) and Tourism (242) from Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, as well as students of both bachelor’s and master’s levels from Taras Shevchenko National University “Chernihiv Collegium” and Mykola Gogol Nizhyn State University. This annual collaboration strengthens inter-university cooperation in the fields of science and education.

The presentations addressed current issues in literary and linguistic studies. In particular, they explored the creation of modern digital verbal-visual texts and their role in intercultural communication (S. V. Bashtova); analyzed artistic imagery, symbolism, and linguistic-stylistic devices in prose and poetry (V. V. Snitko, K. S. Bebko, S. O. Zakharchuk, V. O. Danchenko, A. S. Hrytsenko); and examined the diversity and multidirectionality of themes and psychological conflicts in contemporary American poetry (M. V. Ivanova).

The meeting was successful and productive. The interaction between speakers and attendees promoted the exchange of ideas and perspectives for further research in literature, translation, and linguistics.

Seven presentations were delivered, and twenty-one abstracts were submitted for publication.
