2025 was a year of active professional work, scientific progress, and strengthening of the academic community for the Department of Foreign Philology, as well as increased collaboration with students, school pupils, professional partners, and international colleagues.
The department’s systematic research work included the participation of teachers and students in research initiatives, academic discussions, and interdisciplinary humanities projects. It was carried out throughout the year through scientific publications, participation in national and international conferences, and the activities of student research groups, including the English-speaking club and the literary research circle.
One of the most important events of the year was a national scientific-practical conference, organized and held by the department in cooperation with academic partners, which enriched the scientific field with discussions on interdisciplinary communication, language sociology, and modern humanities practices. Special attention was given to developing a modern educational and research environment, including the Research Laboratory of Integrated Humanities Studies as a space for innovative ideas and interdisciplinary practices.
Professional training of students was complemented by guest lectures and meetings with specialists from Ukraine, Poland, and the United Kingdom, which broadened their understanding of modern professional realities. Active participation of philology students in professional, creative, and scientific competitions and workshops confirmed their significant academic and professional achievements. In addition, students took part in public and sports life, demonstrating teamwork, initiative, and active citizenship.
The results of 2025 showed that the Department of Foreign Philology remains an open academic space for professional growth, scientific research, and fruitful cooperation.
