Developing Self-Help Skills for Coping with Stress: A Training Session for First-Year Students of the B11 “Philology” Program

On March 10, a curator hour was held for first-year students of the B11 “Philology” program, devoted to the important topic of mental health and the development of self-help skills for coping with stress.

Third-year students of the C4 “Psychology” program — Anastasiia Shelestova and Anna Fedorenko — were invited to conduct the meeting. They prepared an informative presentation and practical exercises on the topic “Developing Self-Help Skills for Coping with Stress.”

During the event, students learned about:

  • the nature and main causes of stress;
  • the psychological and physiological consequences of prolonged stress;
  • effective ways of coping with stressful situations.

Special attention was paid to practical self-regulation techniques that help reduce emotional tension, improve well-being, and maintain psychological balance in the face of everyday challenges.

The meeting took place in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, helping to raise students’ awareness of the importance of taking care of their mental health.
