{"id":5404,"date":"2026-10-26T14:54:11","date_gmt":"2026-10-26T14:54:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/foreign-languages.stu.cn.ua\/?p=5404"},"modified":"2026-10-26T14:54:12","modified_gmt":"2026-10-26T14:54:12","slug":"academic-writing-workshop-for-phd-students-at-the-foreign-language-centre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/foreign-languages.stu.cn.ua\/?p=5404&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Academic Writing Workshop for PhD Students at the Foreign Language Centre"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On October 23, 2026, the Foreign Language Centre hosted a regular meeting of the <em>New-Generation Scholars<\/em> research club for PhD students, dedicated to developing academic writing skills in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The topic of the meeting was <strong>\u201cWriting an Abstract, Introduction, and Literature Review.\u201d<\/strong> Participants explored the key features of structuring these components of a scientific text and discussed best practices for formulating the aim and rationale of a study in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the practical session, the doctoral students worked on academic vocabulary, citation techniques, and paraphrasing. Special attention was paid to working with their own research materials and improving skills in presenting scientific ideas clearly, logically, and convincingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting provided a great opportunity for young researchers to exchange experience and pursue professional development.
